Nine European Squash Federation member nations are sending teams to Houston, USA, this summer to compete in the WSF World Junior Team Championships.

A record total of 46 teams of Under-19 players will travel to the event at Houston Squash Club from 12-23 July which features the WSF World Junior Individual and Team Championships held back-to-back.

This year’s championships will feature a men’s and women’s event being held simultaneously for the first time in tournament history.

Among the European entrants into the team event will be newly-crowned European Under-19 Mixed Team champions France who are sending both men's and women's teams, as well as defending men's champions England, who beat Egypt 2-1 in the last World Junior Team men's final in Nancy, France in 2022.

There will be 13 European teams across both draws out of the 46 competing: Czech Republic (men’s), England (men's and women's), France (both), Germany (both), Ireland (both), Scotland (women’s), Spain (men’s), Sweden (men’s) and Switzerland (men’s). For a full list of competing nations click here.

During the World Junior Team Championships, national federation squads of four players aged under 19 compete against each other in individual matches, with the first team to win two matches winning the tie.

In the men’s event, 27 teams are set to compete, the joint-fifth most in event history. In the women’s, there will be 19 teams, the joint-second most after the 2005 championship (20).

This year’s championships will also see debuts for the Philippines and Macau, China, with both federations sending a men’s team for the first time.
